Language: We can see from the text and from the picture the target of this audience of this magazine is and older audience, there isn't bright colours and pictures that we would associate with younger people, the colours are quite bland and sophisticated. The picture of the model laying down at the bottom of the page also shows what kind of age group this magazine is designed for, the model is laying on her back with her legs in the air, she is wearing a body suit and heels this again tells us what type of audience this magazine is targeted at, because she is wearing little clothing and big heels we know that ins't how a model in a magazine designed for young people would look like they wouldn't be wearing such little clothing and heels, they would be dressed appropriately and wearing something more suited to a younger audience. From this we can tell this magazine is aimed more at older people perhaps teenagers and young adults, 16+ maybe. It doesn't appear to say anywhere on the page who the model is but perhaps people who are interested in the magazine will know who it is anyway. We assume the model is in the magazine somewhere since she is on the contents page.
Ideology: The ideology of this page is shown through the picture of the model, we can see by the way she is positioned it is targeting the older male auience because it will be appealing to them and make the women audience envy her. It shows the way they are trying to use sex appeal to attract their audience and promote the model in a particular way.
Institution: Vibe is a music and entertainment magazine founded by producer Quincy Jones. The publication predominantly features R&B and hip-hop music artists, actors and other entertainers. After shutting down production in Summer 2009, Vibe was purchased by the private equity investment fund InterMedia Partners and is now issued every-other month with double covers, with a larger online presence. The magazine's target demographic is predominantly young, urban followers of hip-hop culture. As of April 2013 Vibe is currently owned by Spin Media.
Audience: From what we can see from this page, we can assume the audience of this magazine is an older audience and the gender can vary with contents to appeal to both genders. It looks as though this magazine may be most appealing to young adults 16+ because of the pictures and articles. We can see straight away from this page that the magazine isnt desgined for anyone younger, they wouldnt be interested in the articles involved in the magaizine.
Representation: The representaion of this magazine is to poytray the artist in the picture as a strong powerful character as well as sex symbol for the male audience and an idol for the female audience.
