Using photoshop

This is the original image I started with, I opened it on to photo shop.

I Duplicated the layer and unlocked the first layer so I could cut the picture from the background

I started to cut the picture out from the background using the magic wand tool

I cut went around my model cutting her out from the background so I could move the picture to a blank page.

I used the rubber tool to rub out any edges I had missed or that needed smoothing

I then used the smudge tool to smooth over all the edges so you couldn't tell I had cut it out from the original picture.

After I had smoothed the edges etc. I Started to edit the exposure and lighting of the picture to give it a bit more edge and look less dark and bland.

I made another layer to edit her face and give her some make up.

I used the lasso tool to go around her lips to give her lipstick I then chose the colour and adjusted the lightness and opacity to make it look more realistic.

This is what the picture looked like after I had edited the lighting, exposure and given her lipstick.

I used the brush tool to go over her eye lids to give her eyeliner and touch up her mascara to enhance her eyes and make them stand out more.

This is the final edited image.
